Aurelio Mucci was born in Abruzzo, Italy into a family of artisans.
At the age of 14, he enrolled in the Istituto Statale D’Arte in Aquila where he received the diploma of maestro d’arte with a focus in gold work.  He continued his studies at the Istituto Statale D’Arte in Valenza, receiving a second diploma with a specialization in stone setting.

After finishing his coursework, his talent as a stone setter was recognized by prestigious goldsmith firms in Valenza.  For the next few years he apprenticed in several companies: Damiani; Alfieri e
Sangio; and Davide e DeLuchi.  During this period he perfected and specialized in a particular style of stone setting known as pave.

At the age of 25, he began to work as an independent professional first in Pforzheim, Germany and then in Florence, Italy for Chopard, Stefan Hafner and other well-known firms that produce modern jewelry.

Mr. Mucci’s great passion has always been to work as part of a team with goldsmiths and designers offering technical solutions to projects that they are developing.  Products that emerged from these collaborations are his inventions, the Fotosystem Box and the Accessory Kit which accompany it.

In recent years he has worked in Toronto, Canada where he perfected his skills in pave stone setting. With the use of a microscope, he learned to apply the particular technique used by Swatch Cartier.

Presently, Mr. Mucci operates his business in San Francisco.  He offers highly specialized services in pave and micropave, stone setting and engraving of gold and platinum using a microscope.  Faisoldi excels in channel and bezel setting with round, marquis, princess and baguette stones.

In addition, having reached the level of master to the apprentice, Mr. Mucci offers individual training of his craft in his studio.
